BIM

Building Information Modelling (BIM) creates a digital 3D model of the building’s physical and functional characteristics. This modelling allows our design team to develop a greater surety in the design and enables the creation of effective management strategies during the design process.

As a business at the forefront of the latest industry developments, we offer a wide range of BIM-related services which include common coordination, collaboration, and interoperability methods within the design process. We use the latest BIM software (Revit, Autocad, Nawisworks, Solibri, Dynamo) in order to efficiently exchange data, coordinate security design, detect nonconformities with our design and validate models.

Our staff are key to the successful implementation of our BIM services, therefore they are fully trained in our BIM systems which are in turn updated to current versions. Our BIM capabilities include:

  • Modelling advanced families
  • Working with linked models from other disciplines
  • Designing using Autodesk 360 cloud
  • Exporting to required file types
  • Collaborating through COBie
  • Populating components with shared parameters
  • Applying levels of detail/development/granularity principles.

For all our projects we are compliant with project procedures, information exchange policies, Employer Information Requirements (EIR) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP). We can also provide security specific BEP and capability assessments for our clients.

Our BIM services comply with national standards and regulations such as BS 1192:2007, PAS 1192-2:2013, PAS 1192-3:2014 and BS 1192-4:2014. We ensure all necessary contributions for BIM maturity levels 2 and 3, and we are fully trained to use Common Data Environment (CDE) providers such as Asite, Aconex and 4Projects.
