London’s Wood Wharf development: Public realm
The Wood Wharf development in London’s Canary Wharf consists of a mixture of commercial, educational, residential, retail and leisure spaces.
The development features a large public realm area. We were required to create security systems for these spaces, including 13 acres of outdoor public spaces and gardens.
We developed a risk based, holistic security deployment strategy for the entire estate, which not only ensured alignment with Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) and Secured by Design (SbD) principles, but also accounted for the overarching operational intent and key stakeholder requirements, specific risk profiles for each particular building function, and integration with the wider, more rigorous Canary Wharf Security philosophy and approach.
