The Varso Place development is a mixed-use building complex in Warsaw city centre. The development comprises three buildings Varso 1, Varso 2 and Varso Tower that are connected through a Shopping Centre and the Central International Train Station. The 230-metre Varso Tower will be the tallest building in Central and Eastern Europe.
Varso Tower and Varso 2 are primarily office buildings with mixed use podium and ground floors, high-level restaurants and an observation terrace. Varso 1 comprises a hotel with commercial offices and mixed-use areas at lower levels.
QCIC was appointed to carry out Security Concept Design as well as Developed and Technical Security Design for the Varso Place development, focused on operational safety across all three buildings.
QCIC’s design included an Automated Access Control System (AACS) capable of integrating with a control platform common to the whole development, whilst ensuring separation between the public and tenanted retail / commercial uses of the buildings. QCIC also designed a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance system that links to a Main Security Control Room (MSCR) which allows for remote control of building security systems in the event of a security incident.
