Regeneration of busy UK train station.
Reading train station is the second busiest interchange in the UK outside of London. It underwent a major redevelopment, designed by architectural practice Allies and Morrison, to improve traffic flow and alleviate bottleneck congestion at the station. The station was extended to include five new platforms, a new footbridge, and entrance.
We were appointed by Stanhope to design the security for the regenerated area outside of the station. After conducting a review we then made a number of recommendations which included CCTV and Automated Access Control System (AACS) design.
