Security for South London development and major railway station
Stanhope PLC appointed us to design the security for Ruskin Square, a business, residential and leisure development in Croydon, South London. The project consisted of two key phases, both of which we were involved with.
We were responsible for delivering security designs for two office buildings, 625 residential units, and a multi-storey carpark. Such security measures included Automated Access Control System (AACS), CCTV, voice communication (VCOM), turnstile design and entrance control, and lift integration.
We were also involved with the security for the pedestrian access route from the Square to the neighbouring East Croydon railway station and service road. As one of the busiest railway stations in the region where maintaining public safety is paramount, we worked closely with the Metropolitan Police, counter terrorism unit and British Transport Police to ensure every access point could be controlled to the necessary level.
