Global security upgrade: high-risk Venezuelan office
We were appointed by a leading financial media agency to upgrade the security systems of their offices and data centres across the globe. This included the implementation of a uniform Automated Access Control System (AACS) across all their locations and additional security measures depending on each location’s individual needs.
As a global company it is essential that our client has offices in a diverse range of locations, including high-risk cities such as Caracas, Venezuela’s capital city and one of the most dangerous cities in the world. As such, extra considerations needed to be made before the client could establishing an office there.
We were appointed to conduct a threat and risk assessment that would highlight the requirements needed to ensure the safety of our client’s staff. Due to the city’s high-risk nature, we had to consider a wide range of threats in our design recommendations. Our risk assessment substantiated threats, provided proportionate risk mitigation measures and allowed the client to make fully informed investment decisions in relation to the implementation of security measures within their future office space.
