The Quadrant 3 development behind Regent Street, London, includes state-of-the-art office space on the upper floors, and public retail and restaurant facilities on the ground and basement levels.
We were appointed as consultants to design the complete security systems. The Grade II listed building required partial retention of the original stone façade in addition to introducing a new façade.
The brief called for the integration of technologically advanced, energy-saving solutions. The combination of old and new on the building’s exterior presented an interesting challenge to our team as we needed to design a comprehensive security system that blended with both. We worked closely with the design teams and product developers to ensure that the selected security products would fit seamlessly with the architect’s vision. A detailed example of this was the entry intercom units which were custom made to deliver a sleek streamlined display in keeping with the building, including provision for Card Reader Technology within the unit. We also incorporated a bronze plated finish to blend with the external architecture.
