|Client||Canary Wharf Contractors|
|Location||Canary Wharf, London|
|Size||42 storey tower|
Designed by GRID Architects, the Private Rental Sector (PRS), 35 storey, mixed-use tower will sit directly to the east of the cylindrical HDM London Park Drive skyscraper designed by Herzog & deMeuron.
The composition, as with many of the other buildings within Wood Wharf, is governed by the overall residential master planning strategy, by accommodating retail facilities at ground floor, residential amenity space at podium level, and residential dwellings therein.
We were appointed to design a discreet, high quality security system for the apartments and communal areas, with an underlying brief of integration with the wider rigorous Canary Wharf security philosophy and approach.
We designed the electronic security systems, coordinating them with other design streams whilst being mindful of the intended look, feel and operation of the communal spaces.
In addition, we worked with GRID Architect’s and the local Police Designing out Crime Officer (DoCO) to meet Secured by Design requirements, and will continue to work with Canary Wharf Contractors during the construction of the development to help them achieve building requirements such as BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes.
