Sited immediately adjacent to the high-end cylindrical tower of HDM London Park Drive, these two sculptural residential buildings, designed by Stanton Williams, aim to exude a sense of calm and wellbeing. A far cry from the aesthetics of its neighbouring financial district.
Both building aim to accommodate a variety of apartment styles; all of which have been designed to maximise the use of natural daylight, as well as provide readily available access to balconies, terraces, a communal ‘winter garden’ and landscaped gardens adjacent to the neighbouring water front.
We were appointed to design a discreet, high quality security system for the apartments and communal areas, with an underlying brief of integration with the wider rigorous Canary Wharf security philosophy and approach.
We designed the electronic security systems, coordinating them with other design streams whilst being mindful of the intended look, feel and operation of the communal spaces. In addition, we worked with the Architect and the local Police Designing out Crime Officer (DoCO) to meet Secured by Design requirements and will continue to work with Canary Wharf Contractors during the construction of the development to help them achieve building requirements such as BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes.
