Portfolio / The Post Building

The Post Building

The Post Building is a former sorting office for Royal Mail on a site bounded by New Oxford Street, Museum Street, High Holborn and Dunns Passage. It has been converted and extended to offer flexible office and residential units with street level retail and restaurant space, as well as rooftop public gardens, all designed to enhance the public realm in the area.

For the base build and commercial aspect of the project, we designed automated access control, CCTV and intercom systems. For the residential areas of the building, QCIC designed an entrance control system and lobby that integrated sympathetically into the aesthetic design of the building. Intercom systems were also installed for the use of residents and the concierge service.
We followed and implemented guidelines from Secured by Design standards which included PAS 24 doors.
