The St James’ Gateway refurbishment project is the initial stage of a ten year investment programme in the West End. This mixed-use development will comprise offices, retail units and residential units, and the streetscape surrounding the building will balance pedestrian use and road access.
We were appointed as consultants to provide physical and technical security systems for the development. QCIC’s designs were based on cutting-edge security systems that were sympathetic to the overall nature of the building and its history.
We worked closely with the architects and professional team to ensure that the installation not only provided the level of security warranted for a building with myriad uses, but also seamlessly blended in with the architectural design. As well as designing the access control and CCTV systems, we integrated the access control system with elevator management systems, internal screening systems and intrusion detection for the residential units.
