The King’s Cross S2 is a multi-functional building designed by Mossessian Architecture to house Google’s HQ. It is part of the King’s Cross transformation project that is bringing 50 new buildings, 1 900 new homes, 20 new streets, 10 new public parks and squares and 26 acres of open space to Central London.
The building was designed to meet an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) standard, and we aligned our security design strategy to this requirement.
Drawing on QCIC’s extensive experience, we designed a security provision suitable for a high-profile tenant that kept key security measures unobtrusive yet comprehensive, in all areas of the development.
We also created a strategy for the building’s automated access control system, CCTV camera placement, and voice communication system.
