Our client, an international financial services firm, required the upgrade and migration of their legacy Vanderbilt system to C.CURE. This project encompassed system design, C.CURE programming, upgrading and migration of databases, as well as remote testing and commissioning.
A detailed survey was conducted prior to the upgrade. QCIC captured all necessary components required to design and plan the upgrade of the site’s security systems. With this information, a comprehensive upgrade design pack was created allowing all client facilities and IT pre-requisites to be planned and implemented ahead of upgrade execution. Bid documentation was sent to several vendors for each project to secure a competitive price and ensure the quality of the site upgrade.
QCIC smart tools were used to complete the programming. Without these, the programming would not have been completed on time. Personnel/card/clearance migration services were provided.
We began the process by extracting cardholder data from the security systems. This was then analysed to identify and apply cleansing criteria that aimed to remove duplicate records, expired cards and dormant entries. The resulting cleansed databases were then consolidated into one unified database and then further cleansed, ready for deployment into the new systems.
A QCIC consultant managed the integrator directly on site and coordinated with the local stakeholders. Our consultant ensured that the system was installed by the appointed vendor to the manufacturer’s guidelines. This oversight included confirming the client’s global governance standards were implemented.
Credentials from the legacy system were cleansed and migrated successfully to the new platform with no major impact to the business’s daily operations and security operators were able to seamlessly transition from the legacy system to C.CURE.
At the end of the site migration, all as-installed and completion documentation was handed over to the client.
