Security harmonisation for a French multinational

QCIC was appointed by a French multinational corporation that provides consulting, technology, professional and outsourcing services, to provide guidance regarding the harmonisation of credentials and credential readers across the client’s worldwide estate.

Strategy/process taken during the project

The harmonisation strategy was developed by conducting surveys across all sites. From these surveys, information was obtained to identify trends surrounding credential technology type, reader type, credentials and system management. With this information, QCIC provided a replacement and upgrade strategy that ensured all long-term potential risks and vulnerabilities were considered.

The harmonisation strategies identified by QCIC included utilising existing credential technologies and provided a secure upgrade or migration path to protect against common vulnerabilities such as forgery, cloning and spoofing. In addition, encrypted data protection was accommodated to secure communications between the credential and the reader.

Outcome

“QCIC provided a replacement and upgrade strategy that ensured all long-term potential risks and vulnerabilities were considered.” – Stuart Golder
